Private John Dickson

The background of this man is not known at present, other than that he was born around 1891 in Ballymacarrett, Belfast.

Dickson enlisted in the 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons Service Squadron at Belfast on 11 June 1917 (No. UD/332). He was described as having a ruddy complexion, dark hair and grey eyes. His right forearm was marked with a scar and tattoed with 'J. Dickson' and clasped hands. He gave his occupation as a fitter's mate.

On 30 June 1917 Dickson deserted from Enniskillen. It is not known if he was ever apprehended.
